With beautiful illustrations and researched content, prototype signs were created to communicate local places of interest (some extinct, extant and reinterpreted). Six signs were created and installed, forming a walking trail. Feedback from the walking tour included, potential illumination and a map on one side plotting the other signs available for viewing and a ‘you are here’ pin showing the general map of Cremorne. What’s next – a permanent version of the signs has been costed and funding opportunities will be explored. Feedback on the prototype signs will be further sought from local residents and businesses specialising in wayfinding and design.
